DANCE WITH ORANGE July 3 - July 27, 2023, with a Gallery Night Reception July 20, 5-9 pm
Dance With Orange: A color or emotion; melting marmalade to tangerine sunbeams, setting the tawny sky ablaze. Orange is no hiatus color or emotion, just one isolated yet important orange brushstroke that demands a stare and focal point of the artwork, exciting, bringing the viewer in, making the eye travel around from all that is orange; marigolds and orange juice in a tequila sunrise; she is the color of the flames of the sunset and sunrise to monarch butterflies dancing on tiger lilies as the song the oriole sang snacking on papayas and mangoes to alluring autumn leaves.
While the cultural environment has gone through many dramatic changes over the past 134 years, NAWA’s mission has remained consistent: to foster and promote awareness of women in the visual arts through exhibitions of its members' work, scholarships to talented women artists in need, lectures, and other educational programs.
