CHAIRS:   The two sculptural chair installations were commissioned for Convergence VIII 1995 and Convergence IX 1996, Providence RI.  Both pieces had a musical, line drawing quality although made of wood and steel.
"5 Spaces/4 Chairs" was constructed of recycled wood and found objects.  The five brightly painted, whimsical pieces, contrasted with the geometric, impersonal bank building looming above.
"3 Chairs/Riv Vu" were made of welded steel and placed farther along the Providence River walk.  The steel was bend into shapes and painted to evoke the feeling of a line drawn cafe street scene.

High Wire Hieroglyphs: Wickenden Street telephone poles 1989-2000    Highwire Hieroglyphs was a renegade take-over of the telephone poles along a four-block stretch of Wickenden Street in Providence.  I constructed out of recycles wood and installed. Aero-sculptures alone for four years, changing them and adding new ones twice a year.  Ultimately I selectively invited artist friends to join in this renegade art project.
